The 4****Hotel Jardin Tecina is set high on a cliff-top, overlooking the small fishing village of Playa de Santiago and just a short ferry crossing from Tenerife. Resembling a Canarian-style village this hotel is large but doesn´t feel it because it is so spread out. Guests are in low rise buildings, clustered round a lovely pool complex and etched into the terraced hillside, whilst all around are sprawling sub-tropical gardens filled with exotic plants and trees.

All units are bright and spacious and full equipped including Satellite TV, telephone, mini-bar, air/conditioning and a balcony.

Food & beverage

Most meals are taken in the main buffet restaurant where you can dine al fresco on the terraces.

Golf

Tecina Golf course is unique in that it plays, rather like a ski run, all of the way down a dramatically sloping hillside (there is 175m of elevation change from top to bottom), providing the golfer with an almost continuously downhill golfing experience. This means that the sea is in the view of the golfer on every hole, a claim that not many other courses around the world can match.

Other facilities

There are 5 swimming pools and a variety of sun terraces in the main village area compete with a sea-level lido at the base of the cliff. There’s a bar and a la carte barbecue-style restaurant down there, too.

If you feel like stepping up the pace a little, the hotel’s busy entertainment team ensures that there are plenty of daytime and evening activities. On site you’ve got tennis and squash courts. And right beside the hotel there’s a golf course.
