Novo Sancti Petri was the first golf course in Spain designed by Severiano Ballesteros and inaugurated in 1990. It has a total of 36 holes distributed into two magnificent 18-hole courses, the Mar Y Pinos you will find 4 par-3 holes, 10 par-4 holes and 4 par-5 holes. The holes 1-9 offer wide fairways and three lakes. The green at hole 6 must be mentioned particularly, since it is situated on the coast. The holes 10-18 are surrounded by stone pines and without water hazards and Centro you will find 6 par-3 holes and 6 par-4 holes and 6 par-5 holes. The first 9 holes are flat with a large water hazard between holes 5, 8 and 9. From the 10th to 13th the ground is slightly undulating, offering some excellent views over the Atlantic Ocean. There are also some water hazards between the 10th & 13th hole. Between the 14th 15th and 16th hole there is yet another large water hazard. Last but not least, on hole number 18, the designer of the course has immortalized himself by leaving a bunker in the shape of an “S”
 Many people still consider the courses to be Severiano’s masterpiece and boast near enough perfect conditions.
The Jack Nicholas Academy at Novo Sancti Petri offers 130 bays and numerous training facilities for your short and long game.
The Academy short game practise area consists of three chipping and pitching greens, two green-side bunkers and a small putting green.
